Burocracy To enter the Bahamas it may need a passport or visa, depending on the country you live and why you are visiting the Bahamas (tourism, work or study). The U.S. citizens must have a valid passport while the Canadians citizens may enter without a passport but must have a birth certificate and other document such as driver's license. Citizens of other countries must have passports, being the visa only required for stays over 30 days. All visitors must have a round-trip ticket as well as evidence of having financial possibilities for their trip. If you are unsure about any matter relating to travel documents, we recommend that you contact your travel agent or Consulate in your city.
Health Concerns There are no mandatory vaccinations for traveling to the Bahamas, although it's recommended to have the vaccines against Hepatitis A, typhoid, yellow fever, hepatitis B, rabies, measles, malaria, rubella, diphtheria and tetanus. Only tourists with less than one year will have to show the certificate of vaccination against yellow fever. In case of doubt, please consult your doctor or the Embassy of the Bahamas.
