| Burocracy | The tourist visa is not required for citizens of the European Union countries, United States, Great Britain, Canada and Ireland for a period of stay up to 3 months. Citizens of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa need a visa to Trinidad and Tobago, but the granting of a visa can be obtained on arrival for a fee of TT $ 50. Passports must be valid for the minimum period of the visit. Visitors are required identification documents to travel in and out of the country and a fixed address during the stay. |
| Health Concerns | Vaccination against yellow fever is required for entering the country for those coming from infected areas, but it's recommended that all travelers to Trinidad and Tobago are vaccinated against yellow fever. An inoculation for Hepatitis A is also suggested for those visiting rural areas. The insect protection is advised, as there is a growing risk of Dengue. There is a high prevalence of AIDS. Medical facilities are limited and medical personnel tend to decrease. A proof of payment is often required before treatment is administered, even in emergency situations. Medical insurance with provision for evacuation is strongly recommended. |
