| Description: | Jervis Bay is a territory of the Commonwealth of Australia. It was surrendered by the state of New South Wales to the Commonwealth Government in 1915 so that the Federal capital at Canberra would have access to the sea. Jervis Bay has more than 30 dive sites to choose from, depending on weather and sea conditions. The waters that surround this place hide shipwrecks, swimthroughs, deep drop-offs, walls and caves. Rocky reefs, kelp beds, sandy areas and seagrass meadows form a habitat for a vast and diverse marine life. The depths vary between 5 and 40 meters being suitable for divers of all levels. |
