Name: Townsville
Description: Townsville is a city that's located on the north-eastern coast of Australia, in the state of Queensland. It's situated 1.300 kilometers north of Brisbane and 350 kilometers south of Cairns. The Reef system off Townsville is composed of a large number of individual platform reefs ranging in size from 400 meters to over 15 kilometers in lenght. In this location, you will also find some of the most impressive shipwrecks in all of Australia. The depths vary between 14 and 200 meters, covering various levels of diving.

Water Temperature: The water temperature varies between 21° C in the winter and 28º C in the summer.
Diving Suit: Complete wet suit or wet suit with shorts.
Visibility under water: Visibility between 10 and 50 meters.
Climate: Townsville has a tropical climate. Temperatures vary between 23º C and 30º C in the summer and winter temperatures range from 15º C and 26º C.
How to get there: Traveling by air is one of the easiest ways of getting to Townsville. There are a large number of flights arriving to the Townsville International Airport everyday. Virgin Blue Airlines, Jetstar and Qantas are some of the major airlines that have regular flights to this city. You can also come to this place by rail or road. The cities of Australia are connected with one another by an extensive railway system as well as an impressive network of roads. You can catch a train or a bus from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane and come to this city directly. Townsville is also reachable by sea . A wide variety of cruise ships come to the Townsville port, bringing a large number of tourists to this place every year.
