| Description: | Tweed Heads is a town located on the Tweed River's margins in northeastern New South Wales, Australia. The reefs off the Gold Coast and Tweed Coast provide some exciting drift diving with large schools of pelagics and several fish species. Cook Island mixes the warm tropical waters of the north with the cooler temperate waters of the south providing a great marine sanctuary for huge numbers of turtles and other marine life. The depths vary between 12 and 17 meters, suitable for divers with little experience. |

Air New Zealand, Pacific Blue and Jetstar currently operate services between New Zealand and Gold Coast Airport. Jetstar International offers direct flights from Osaka and Tokyo Japan, while Air Pacific has direct flights from Fiji with connections from North America. From the aeroport you can get a cab or go on a bus trip to Tweed Heads. |
