| Description: | The Whitsunday Islands are a group of continental islands of various sizes off the coast of central Queensland, situated between the south of Bowen and north of Mackay, about 900 km (560 miles) north of Brisbane. This site has 16 dive spots, these are the island Hook, Bait Reef, Gary's Lagoon, Hill Inlet, Litle Black Reef, The Pinnacle and others. In these sites the divers can explore pinnacles teeming with marine life, perform wall dives, explore coral reefs, caves, mazes of tunnels, canyons, you can see lots of gorgonians, nudibranchs, sponges, butterflyfish, lionfish, damselfish, turtles , Manta rays, sharks, among others. The depths range from 3 to 36 meters, covering various levels of scuba diving. |

| Climate: | The Whitsundays archipelago has a tropical climate with hot summers and warm winters. Average daily temperatures range between 22-23 degrees Celsius in the winter months of June and July, and up to 29-30 degrees Celsius in December and January, during the the summer. |
| How to get there: | You can reach to Whitsunday both by road, rail and by air. You can catch direct flights from Sydney, Brisbane or Cairns Melbounr to Hamilton Island and travel to other islands by boat, train and charters. |

| Other Activities: | This site offers a wide variety of activities and places to visit. You can make from water sports, sailing, fishing, golf, table tennis, among others. Enjoy the many white sandy beaches in Airlie Beach and Whitehaven Beach, go through the Conway National Park, where you can observe the passage of the Whitsundays and the various islands. You can perform several walking trails, ranging from easy of 1 km walks to more challenging of 16 km. Information about the park and its features and trails is available from the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service in Airlie Beach. You can also visit the Historical Proserpine Museum.Take a helicopter ride from any of the Whitsunday Islands to see the heart-shaped reef a fascinating feat of nature. |
