| Description: | Localized at 180 km from Rio de Janeiro and at 15 km from Cabo Frio, Arraial has several plunge places, being a city with a special beauty. The plunges are great, with a diversified marine fauna. It is quite common to observe rays, turtles, morays and, with a bit of luck, groups of dolphins. The choral's fauna is quite diversified and excelent for the lovers of the macro photography. Resurgence are currents procceding from great depths which ascend to the surface and, due to the fact of not have received the sun rays, they are very cold. In case of Arraial, the resurgence is procceding from 350 meters in depth. On some seasons of the year, penguins are common to appear on the beaches and whales use to float through the coast. |

| Water Temperature: | Normally, the water temperature is around 15ºC to 22ºC. Depending on the season of the year, we can find the water with a temperature until 9ºC. |

| Climate: | The climate is hot and humid, with average temperature of 25ºC in summer and between 17ºC and 23ºC in winter. |

| Other Activities: | You can take advantage of various existing trails to make walking tours and learn about the beautiful scenery, or if you prefer, then take the boat trips to see beaches, islands and caves. If you prefer to see some of the cultural monuments, we recommend, O Obelisco Américo Vespúcio, Church of Nossa Senhora of Remédios, Old Lighthouse, the ruins of the telegraph, the Oceanographic Museum,, Mirante do Boqueirão (Ponta do Cabo), view of French Island, House of Piedra and the water well. |
