| Description: | Fernando de Noronha is a brasilean archipelago, belonging to Pernambuco state, formed by 21 islands and islets, occupying an area of 26 km2, placed on the Atlantic Ocean, at east of Rio Grande do Norte. Fernando de Noronha archipelago is the main and most beautiful brasilean marine park, being considered as one of the best places in the world for the practice of plunge. Near the island we have the possibility to make an advanced plunge and visit the Ipiranga corvette, which lays at 62 meters in depth, after being intentionally sinked on that point, after a navegation accident. When plunging on the beaches and bays, we have a vision of the spectacular colours and movements of algae, sponges, chorals, lobsters and fishes. On plain waters, like the pool of Baía dos Porcos, on Ponta das Carracas, watch-tower beaches and Leão's are abundant on colourfull fishes (moray, for example). On profounder waters, we can see other fishes, living all in the archipelago. We can still easily watch a fish called "cação", between other species. |
