| Description: | The Sal Island, of the islands of the archipelago of Cape Verde, is the closest to the African continent and also the most developed island in terms of tourism. It is a flat island, characterized by its long sandy beaches and warm, crystalline waters. It is a paradise for those who seek absolute rest. You can watch tropical fish visible in open water, or hiding in caves. In winter there is the passage of whales, while in summer large pelagics such as great devil fish, whale sharks and sea turtles that besides diving can be fond on the beaches, where they spawn. |

| How to get there: | The best way to reach the Sal island is by plane. The main port of entry into the country is the Amilcar Cabral International Airport, which also provides good air links to the other islands. |

| Other Activities: | Other activities you can enjoy on the island are: fishing, windsurfing, jet skiing, quad biking, mountain biking, and excursions to other islands. The visits to the Algodeiro, a small oasis, Buracona, a natural swimming pool with water constantly renewed by the waves of the sea, Fontona, Puf, Danfior and deep Calheta are to visit. |
