| Description: | Some of the best Grand Cayman diving south wall sites include Big Pinnacle, Della's Delight, Hole in the Wall, Japanese Gardens, Little Pinnacle, Oriental Gardens and The Sisters. The three islands of the Cayman Islands are the exposed top of an underwater mountain. Underwater, the sides of this mountain are quite steep, vertical in some places, within as little as a few hundred meters from shore. In addition to the expected coral reefs, colorful fish, and other underwater creatures, this "wall diving" provides something extra-ordinary for scuba divers. Scuba diving in the Caymans can be done by boat, or at many dive sites, directly from shore. Grand Cayman's South Side is further away and is less often visited. The Wall starts much deeper, around 80-90 feet. It is more famous for its excellent shallow dives, which include the Japanese Gardens and Della's Delight among canyons and reefs of coral. |
