| Description: | Calais is a town in northern France located in the region of Pas-de-Calais. The old part of town, Calais-Nord, is located on an artificial island surrounded by canals and ports. The modern part of the town, St-Pierre, lies on the south and southeast. Calais has a great variety of diving sites for you to explore, consisting almost all of them of shipwrecks. No doubt this place is for divers who enjoy exploring boats debris. It is a place for all divers divers although most of the diving sites are for more experienced divers. |

| Climate: | It has a Mediterranean climate with minimum temperatures between 3ºC and 12ºC and the maximum between 15ºC and 22ºC. |
| How to get there: | To go to Calais you can travel by plane, boat, train or TGV. If you travel by plane you can go to the Dunkerque airport, at 7 km from Calais, and then take a bus or taxi to the city. If you prefer you can go by train or TGV since the city has several links with other cities. |

| Other Activities: | In Calais you can visit several historical and interesting sites. You can visit the Tour du Guet, the Place d'Armes, the Rouge Fort of the seventeenth century, the Nieulay Fort of the seventeenth century, the Calais lighthouse built in 1848, the Monuments of the Saviors, the Le Monument pluviôse, the Le Jacquard Monument, the Our Lady Church, the Bourse of Labor and its plaza built between 1937 and 1939, the Municipal Theater and the Bourgeois of Calais opened in 1895. |
