| Description: | The Mergui Archipelago (also Myeik Archipelago or Myeik Kyunzu) is an archipelago in far southern Myanmar. It consists of more than 800 islands, varying in size from very small to hundreds of square kilometers, all lying in the Andaman Sea. Some islands have huge boulders, soft corals and gorgonians. Others offer wall diving, caverns, tunnels and drop-offs. All have remained relatively untouched by the passage of time these last fifty years. You can see shark Caves residents and visitors include nurse and whale sharks. Also shoals of devil rays and manta rays are frequently seen. The Mergui Archipelago, however, is equally attractive to macro enthusiasts and underwater photographers, with plentiful frog-fish, ghost pipe-fish, ribbon eels, as well as masses of crustaceans such as lobsters, crabs, cowries and shrimps. |

| Climate: | Mergui Archipelago has tropical monsoon and because it's nearest of the equator, it's a very warm the whole year. The average annual temperature is 27ºC but can get up to around 34-36ºC during the hottest part of the year. |
| How to get there: | There are several boat trips from Phuket, Khao Lak and Ranong to Mergui Archipelago. |
| When to go: | January February March April December |
| Other Activities: | Besides diving you can enjoy to relax in the various hotels or bars. If you prefer a little walk, you can visit the National Park Lampi or visit the various islands and villages of the Mergui Archipelago. If you prefer more physical activities you can practice Kayaking, hiking or observe the various species of birds that exist here. |
