Description:
Berlengas offers a great variety of plunging. On these waters we find a big mass of shipwrecks, as well as a great variety of fauna and flora, due to its isolation. The climate of Berlengas has its origin on two types of influences: the atlantic and the mediterranean. On the profound waters of Berlengas, the divers can find, over 3 to 6 meters, shannny and, over profounder water, congers, hogfish, grey mullets and big shoals of sargus. Around 30 meters, we can find dory, black groupers and whiting-pouts. But not only fish predominates on the beauty of the marine fauna of Berlengas, but also starfish, echinus and cucumber-fish make part of the subaquatic beauty of this island. Octopus, cuttle-fish, dog-whelk, prawns, crayfish, crabs, barnacles, hydrarians and anemone are other type of typical species from the island's sea.
Water temperature is 18ºC in August, September and October.

How to get there:
You need to go by car or bus to Peniche, then you have to take one of several maritime-tourist boats that allow access to the island throughout the year.
