The south-west winds are the most prevailing on the municipality of Faro, usually moderate to intense mostly at dawn a. In some places of predominating south-east or south-west winds, the ocean current may become medium, specially when allied to spring-tides, and we can feel them even at 30 meters deep. Normally the ocean current of Faro is mostly swift at the surface and pratically doesn't exist on the deep. Although it doesn't exist a specific season to plunge on the waters of Faro, because it is a sport which can be practiced all the year, it is to point out that the better months to do it are normally from May until August and from October until March, and the worst are September and April. The majority of plunges realized in Faro are effectuated at 1 or 2 miles away from the coast, being always necessary a boat, and they are effectuated on rocky blossoms, situated on sandy depths, shipwrecks and natural reefs, at depths between 5 and 40 meters. Being influenced by the various benthonic organisms, on one hand by the various colourated gorgonies and, on the other hand by the bryozoa, anemone or sponges, all the places to plunge on the waters of Faro are very colourful and alive. Typical marine species of the Atlantic Ocean, like Sargus, sea-breams, rock-basses, congers and morays, are the most found species on the profound waters of Faro, referring also the spectacular nudibrach that live here, some of them with great dimensions.

How to get there:
Faro is easily accessible from anywhere in mainland Europe, and through any means of transport. Have the possibility to go by car, train, boat and plane. The aircraft is the easiest way, fast and comfortable, since the airport is just 3 hours from most European destinations

Then you can go to a restaurant to eat a typical dish of Faro (fish soup, the rice razor clams or shellfish). Finally the night has several bars and discot available all night long.
