| Name: | Flores Island |
|---|---|
| Description: | Under the warm and crystalline waters of Flores island, the divers can find depths with sand glades, vertical or subvertical walls, volcanic cones, dispersed stones on sandy depths. On zones with a depressed bathimetry, there are deposits constituted by rolled stones, great dimensioned blocks and sandy stains. Some of the plunge spots of the island can be accessed by land, but once the access doesn't have great conditions and isn't much confortable, it is advisable that the divers access it by boat. The weather conditions for plunge on the island, are not the best ones, the distance from the nearest hyperbaric camera is, at minimum, of one hour waiting and one hour to get there and the non-existence of a transport camera are the negative reasons for the subaquatic sport lovers. Although, Flores offers almost every time, interesting spots and places, thanks to the acute and shelter bays that exist on it. The exuberant subaquatic life is like an envitation to the plunge lovers, where they can find on the water species like black-groupers, yellow sergeant major, serrinidae, grey mullets, hogfish, atherine, mackerel, anchovy and a great variety of red and brown algae as beautifull and colourfull chorals.
