At north of Portugal, at north-west of the iberian peninsula, 41º 11º N latitude and 8º 42º W longitude, we find Leixões port, about 2,5 miles away from the Douro river and near the city of Oporto, being included on the population of Leça da Palmeira (north) and Matosinhos (south). Leixões is one of the most competitive and polyvalent ports of Portugal, because through it cross about three thousand feeders per year with all types of cargo, which are to point out: textiles, granite, wine, wood, vehicles, cereals, containers, scrap, iron and steel, alcohol, brandy, oil, molasses, petroliferous products and even passangers from cruises. On the clean waters, the plunge lovers can find dolphins, between other species and, as a result from this competivity and portuary polyvalency, they can dive in some of the most interesting shipwrecks of Portugal.
