| Description: | Pico island, with his cristal blue ocean and unique subaquatic views, offers to the divers a rich and diversified marine fauna, where it is to point out the rocky formations of a great subaquatic beauty. On the azorean ocean we can find groupers, sawfishes, long-beaked fishes, skates, morays, black-groupers and seals, not forggeting the great dimensioned marine species, like whales, dolphins and sharks. Pico doesn't have an hyperbaric camera but, in case of emergency, it is through the maritime way that we reach the nearest island, Faial, where this equipment exists. | Climate: | The climate varies from humid and very humid in the higher areas, with an average relative humidity of about 75%. |
| How to get there: | It has direct flights to Lisbon, Terceira and Sao Miguel. In the winter has shipping links with the island of Faial and Sao Jorge and summer with the other islands. |

| Other Activities: | You can see the beautiful scenery and visit the many existing ponds and the famous areas of wine enjoying touring pedestres.Have the possibility to observe the magnificent whales through the various companies of Whale Watching. Finally can't miss the fantastic rise to the highest point of Portugal. |
