Description:
The translucent and calid water, the big caves, the splendid cliffs and craters and the colouring volcanic rocks with their distorted shapes, give to the submarine sport lovers splendid plunges where they can find several species from echinus, black groupers, sea-breams, long-beaked fishes, needlefishes, anchovy, conger, tunny and several species of sharks, frog-fishes, mackerel, sergeant major, moray, dolphins, ray, sawfish and great shoals of several sizes and colours. One of the most attractive points of São Miguel for the divers is the submersed shipwreck near the port of Ponta Delgada.
Influenced by the Golf current, the medium temperatures of the sea water vary between 16º C and 22º C along the year.

Climate:
Usufructs a temperate climate during the whole year, with varied air temperatures between 14ºC minimum and 25ºC maximum on August.
How to get there:
The connection to São Miguel is made by the main European airports via Lisbon. There are also flights from the United States, Canada and of course among the other islands of the Azores. In summer there is regular boat connection between San Miguel and other islands.
São Miguel is the largest Azorean island and with multi-wide activities and places that you can't miss. You can enjoy the numerous natural beauties that the island offers and visit the ponds, the various existing viewpoints, eat the famous Cozido das Furnas, etc.. If you prefer you can stay in the City of Ponta Delgada which has several restaurants, shops, cinema and other forms of entertainment available. At night you can enjoy the various bars quiet and relaxing or go to one of several clubs that are open all night long.
