The Arrabida Coast until the Espichel Cape, turned to south, normally protected from the prevailing winds of the north quadrant. The rocky depths,are rich in several types of algae and ideal to procreate and to develop a big number of maritime species. Because of this Sesimbra is characterized by its abundant flora and fauna, by its splendid and translucent sea, thanks to the protection that it receives from the Espichel Cape, in one of the most looked places to plunge.

How to get there:
From Lisbon to Sesimbra you can go by train, bus or car.
Train passengers arrive in Setubal and have to catch the bus to go to Sesimbra.
There ir regular buses from the Plaza of Spain in Lisbon and from Cacilhas to Sesimbra lasting 1 hour and with the cost of 4.95 euros.
The best choice is the car because it is faster and you just have to go by the expressway to Setubal.
Besides diving you can also visit some of the most beautiful places that Sesimbra has to offer. There are 4 places to visit during the day: Fort St. Theodosius, the Castle of Sesimbra, Cabo Espichel and the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Cabo. If after these visits you want to go to a calm and tranquil environment you have always the chance to go to the Bar of The Mariante or to the English Pub that are open till 4 in the morning.
