| Description: | Sodwana Bay is located on the east coast of South Africa, between Saint Lucia and Sibhayi Lake. In this location divers have a wide variety of diving sites at their disposal, composed mainly of reefs, walls, swimthroughs, rocky outcrops, rock pinnacles, shipwrecks and areas of marine life observation. The depths vary between 12 and 40 meters, covering various levels of diving. |

| Climate: | This location has a subtropical climate. Summer temperatures vary between 29º C during the day and 16º C overnight. Winter temperatures can vary between 20º C during the day and 12° C overnight. |
| How to get there: | This site can be reached by terrestrial means. A large number of highways across the country lead to Sodwana Bay. For example, the N1 highway runs from Cape Town or Harare city, in Zimbabwe all the way to Mbazwana. From this location the highway turns into a gravel road for 80 kilometers down to Sodwana Bay. Most of the major european airlines operate direct flights to Cape Town from where you can catch the bus to Sodwana Bay. |

| Other Activities: | This location offers a variety of places to visit, such as the Khumbula Cultural Village and Museum, Lake Sta Lucia and the Ancestral House, the Sodwana Bay National Park, the St Lucia Marine Reserve, the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, lake Sibaya, the Maputaland Marine Reserve and the Phinda Game Reserve. In terms of activities you can do birdwatching, turtlewatching, hiking trails, horseback riding and meet the native Zulu people with music, dance and Zulu traditional theater. |
