| Description: | Anchieta island is an ecological reservation and so it is forbidden to do any type of haunting or fishery inside it. As well, this island is full of a great variety of marine life. Praia do Leste shelters a statue of Jacques Costeau, sank at approximately 9 meters in depth by the Plunge Schools of Ubatuba, in an event that happened on 15th November of 1997, where it was made the worldwide record of submersed divers at the same time. The island also shelters an old prison, disabled nowadays, but which contributes for a beautiful walk. On average, we can have a visibility that varies between 3 and 8 meters, being the temperature of the water among 20º and 28ºC. |
