Name:	Ellaidhoo Housereef
Description:	Ellaidhoo has one of the best and most convenient dive of all Maldives resorts. You can just leave from the jetty or the beach to swim to a wall 750 meters long filled with caves that are in turn filled with gorgonians, corals, sponges, featherstars and soft corals. Most of the reef wall is excavated below 20 meters to the sandy bottom from 25 to 30 meters. Most caves are between 10 and 15 meters, some large enough to be able to enter them without damaging the coral. Near the pier is a wreck with about 15 meters long with disposed backwards to the bow facing west at 32 meters. Usually here you can find a large black tail comber. To the west of the pier there’s no less than 15 caves between 11 and 14 meters, two of them with 20 meters in length. One has a large number of gorgonians. Ellaidhoo divers can dive when they want and rarely complain of being bored.
Fauna and Flora:	Many of the caves are full of rock beauties and squirrelfish, also butterflyfish, hog fish, sweetlips, blue stripped snappers and angelfish, among others. In both western and eastern ends of the reef there are excellent acropora and porite corals at the top. At the western end, at 4-5 meters there are schoals of butterflyfish. Divers can also see lobsters, rays and morays.

Water Temperature:	The water temperature is between 27ºC and 29ºC.
Diving Suit:	Wet suit with shorts.
Visibility under water:	Visibility is excellent, going from 30 to 60 meters, and could drop to 15 meters due to the movement of currents and tides.
