| Description: | This place is near the West coast of Pico island, right in front of the bathing zone of Pocinho. It has mainly a geologic interest due to its volcanic formation, which gave origin to two majestic arches. All the area is constituted by rock, covered by the seaweed Cauda de Pavão, forming in the deep a whitish carpet. In the end of the torrent draining we can observe two united arches which form a great dimensioned gallery. After passing the arcades, we can take a ride through the wall turned to North and return to the arches by the slope that is turned to south. This place doesn't have great currents or elevated depths. |
| Fauna and Flora: | On the interior of the two arches, we can observe dozens of small nudibranchs of several species. On the slope turned to south the fauna is scarce. The fishes which inhabit this zone are salema, balcktail comber, damsel fish, cuckoo wrasse, ornate wrasse among others. |

| Water Temperature: | The water temperature oscillates between 17ºC and 24ºC on Winter and Summer, respectively. |
| Diving Suit: | In the Winter Semi-dry suit and in the Summer Complete wet suit |
| Visibility under water: | Visibilities in the order of 15m to 30m. |
