| Description: | It's located on the south coast of São Miguel, at about 100 meters away from the coast, in front of Lagoa. It's an area formed by a huge block of rock, that have small stones around it that separated from the main rock. There are some small caves and holes where you can find a lot of life. The bottom is formed by great sandy areas, rocky blocks and rolling stones of small and medium dimensions. The cave is large but not very high. All the zone is constituted by corridors and arches. |
| Fauna and Flora: | Above the sand there are flat-fishes; above the rocks there are atherines, pigfishes, sargus, black and yellow sergeant majors and groupers. In the cave there are two shoals of different species. Black groupers and nudibranch of several species. In the cracks there are black morays and other species and above there are too shoals of long-beaked fishes and lilys. |
