| Description: | This dive site is characterized by being the wreck of a oriental trawler that sank in the 70s, in Hout Bay. It is practically intact and is lying over the starboard side with her bow pointing to Chapman's Peak. Surely you will need to bring a flashlight to get a good visibility. The Katsu Maru is in a protected local and is ideal for deep dive training. This dive site, like most dive sites in the Atlantic, can be very cold, so take precautions. To reach the dive site is necessary a short boat trip from the port of Hout Bay. |

| Water Temperature: | The water temperature ranges from cold to mild. The sea on the Atlantic coast of Cape Town has an annual temperature of about 13° C due to the cold Benguela currents. On the coast of False Bay, the water temperature varies between 16 and 17º C throughout the year due to the mild Agulhas currents. |
| Diving Suit: | Complete wet suit for the False Bay coast and semi-dry suit for the Atlantic coast of Cape Town. |
