Description: Varies between black and gray. It is a planktivorous fish that feeds on zooplankton and algae. It is the only fish in the Pomacentridae family that has no planktonic larval phase. As the larvae have a pelagic dispersal phase, populations become isolated, having a great variability of colors.
Habitat: Inhabits in coral reefs and coastal reefs and also in the outer reefs edges at depths between 1 and 65 meters.
Color: Great variety of colors; between black and gray.
Dimensions: Up to 14 cm.
