| Description: | The head is pointed when viewed from the side. Concave profile from the snout to the front of the dorsal fin. The lower jaw is projected. Males have a high dorsal fin. The body is crossed by eight dark bands, generally clear in the center. The dorsal, anal and caudal fins have speckles. Females have a narrower body with dark bands, wider on the sides, less numerous then in males. |
