Common Name: Jelly Hydromedusa
Description: Thick hemispherical dome with tentacles (attached to the margin of the bell). Numerous radial channels are visible in the veil. The state of hydromedusae is dominant in this species. Slightly toxic and in direct contact with the most sensitive skin can cause a slight sting.
Habitat: Float near the surface in the water column at depths up to 6m.
Color: Translucent.
Dimensions: Can be 4 to 10 inches in length.
Geographical Distribution: Caribbean Sea Western Central Atlantic
