Common Name: Feather Plume Hydroid
Description: The branches extends alternately from a robust central stalk in a single plan. It usually grows in clusters (colonies) but may grow solitary. Polyps white on top and bottom of the branches alternately. Slightly toxic causes dermal irritation if touched with bare skin.
Habitat: Generally live in floats of the genus Sargassum algae , however they can live on rocky bottoms. Depths up to 37m.
Color: Stem brown with white polyps.
Dimensions: Between 2.5 and 7.5 cm tall.
Geographical Distribution: Western Central Atlantic
