| Description: | This fish has a deep body, large eyes and extensible mouth. It has granular scales on the venter and between the eyes and the dorsal fin, the scales are cycloid on the sides. It presents rows of spiny scales at the base of the dorsal and anal fins. The dorsal fin has 7 spines and 33-33 soft rays; the anal fin is composed of 3 spines and 31-32 soft rays. |
