Common Name: Slender tuna
Description: Dorsal fin consists of 15-18 spines and 12-13 soft rays, anal fin with 13-14 soft rays. Body without scales in the belly. The half of the dorsal above the lateral line is covered in scales. No swim bladder.
Habitat: Pelagic oceanic.
Color: The back is bluish, becoming purple or nearly black on the head, its belly is white with no stripes or spots, the pectoral and pelvic fins are purple, and their inner sides are black.
Dimensions: Up to 105 centimeters in furcal length.
