Common Name: Skipjack shad
Description: Silver fish with a dark grayish green dorsum, and a golden tint on the flanks, becoming white on the venter. It feeds on small fish. Juveniles eat insects.
Habitat: Neritic pelagic.
Color: Silver fish with a dark grayish green dorsum.
Dimensions: Up to 50 centimeters in lenght.
Geographical Distribution: Western Central Atlantic
