| Description: | It distinguishes immediately from A. Alosa by usually presenting a serie of five to twelve dark dorsal stains. Relatively less elevated body than A. Alosa. Thirty to eighty branchitaenias over the first branchial arch, with similar dimensions to those which have branchial filaments. It has the same ecologic characteristics than A. alosa. |

| Color: | Bright blue coloured back, silvered sides and abdomen, golden sides of the head and flanks, with six to seven dark stains on the flanks. |
