Common Name: Hickory shad
Description: Silver fish with a dark grayish green dorsum. It has a black spot behind the operculum followed by a series of dark and poorly defined spots that extend through the area below the dorsal fin. It feeds on small fish, squid, small crabs and other crustaceans as well as fish eggs.
Habitat: Neritic pelagic.
Color: Silver fish with a dark grayish green dorsum.
Dimensions: Up to 60 centimeters in lenght.
