Common Name: Northern sand lance
Description: Long fish. It does not have a spiny dorsal fin. The dorsal fin is long and low. The lower mandible is protruding. It has no pelvic fins. It feeds on crustaceans and worms.
Habitat: Demersal. It occurs at depths between 0 and 108 meters.
Dimensions: Up to 25 centimeters in total lenght.
Geographical Distribution: North Atlantic Ocean
