Common Name: Pacific sand lance
Description: Long fish. It does not have a spiny dorsal fin. The dorsal fin is long and low. The lower mandible is protruding. It has no pelvic fins. It feeds on zooplankton.
Habitat: It occurs near the surface in coastal areas or off the coast, and it also buries itself in the sand. It inhabits depths between 0 and 275 meters.
Dimensions: Up to 30 centimeters in total lenght.
Geographical Distribution: Arctic Ocean Western Atlantic Northwest Pacific Northeast Pacific
