Common Name: Split-Crown Feather Duster
Description: Crown with tentacles of oval pattern and longitudinal division crown in two symmetrical halves. They may be solitary or live in small clusters of three or four individuals. They are timid and retreat when somebody approaches, however,after a few minutes they come out of the tubes that are usually buried in the stony coral.
Habitat: Lives in coral reefs and adjacent areas at depths between 5 and 23m.
Color: Variable color. Brown, orange and violet-brown usually with white spots or stripes around the crown.
Dimensions: Tube-shaped with a crown that has 4 to 5 cm in diameter.
Geographical Distribution: Caribbean Sea Western Central Atlantic
