Common Name: Northern wolffish
Description: This fish is large, long and robust. It does not have pelvic fins. The dorsal fin originates just behind the head being relatively high, with flexible spines. The tail fin is not attached to the dorsal and anal fins. It is brown with some darker spots. It feeds on jellyfish, small fish, echinoderms, crustaceans and molluscs.
Habitat: Benthopelagic. It inhabits depths between 60 and 1700 meters.
Color: Brown.
Dimensions: Up to 180 centimeters in total lenght.
Geographical Distribution: North Atlantic Ocean Western Atlantic
