Common Name: Wolf-eel
Description: Long and compressed fish. with 200 anal soft rays.Long dorsal fin with 228-250 flexible spines. Small caudal fin . It has no pelvic fins or lateral line.
Habitat: Demersal. Inhabits depths between 1 and 226 meters.
Color: Mostly gray to brown, sometimes greenish. Rounded dark spots with light rings at the body and fins. Larger individuals are more grizzled. Juveniles are orange with dark areas that merge into tracks at the rear of the body.
Dimensions: Up to 240 inches in total length.
