Common Name: Slough anchovy
Description: The anal fin consists of 20-25 soft rays. Small, depressed and quite long body. Snout of medium size, about 3/4 of eye diameter. It does not have spines on the fins and lateral line. The upper jaw extends beyond the eye.
Habitat: Neritic pelagic. It inhabits depths between 0 and 50 meters.
Color: Greenish on the dorsum; white on the venter. It has a silver band on the flank.
Dimensions: Up to 8 centimeters in standard lenght.
