Common Name: Finescale mora
Description: Dorsal fin consisting of 54-60 soft rays; anal fin consisting of 39-42 soft rays. Long body, short head, pointed snout, short chin barbel. The first dorsal fin is small, being the first long ray, filamentous. The second dorsal fin is long. Feeds on benthic invertebrates.
Habitat: Bathypelagic. It inhabits the lower regions of the continental slope. It inhabits depths between 175 and 3048 meters.
Color: Black or dark grayish blue to olive green; the margins of the fins are usually dark.
Dimensions: Up to 75 centimeters in total lenght.
Geographical Distribution: North Pacific Ocean
