Common Name: Broadstriped Cardinalfish
Description: Whitish fish with five dark brown horizontal bands, a black dot at the center's base of the caudal fin rays. The rays of the fins are light red. It occurs singly or in pairs. It feeds mainly at night (they have large eyes adapted for seeing in the dark) of benthic crustaceans (amphipods, copepods and shrimp) polychaetes and small fish.
Habitat: Coastal reefs, plains of outer reefs, reef faces, frontal slopes of reefs, at depths between 1 and 65 meters.
Color: Whitish.
Dimensions: Up to 10 centimeters.
Geographical Distribution: Indo-Pacific
