Common Name: Goldbely Cardinalfish, Plain Cardinalfish
Description: It is a dorsally reddish fish and ventrally yellowish. Juveniles are bright with small blue lines on the snout. Adults have blue marks on the sides and a blue line through the eye. It occurs both singly and in small groups or large schools.
Habitat: Inshore reefs, reef lagoons and frontal reef slopes. It occurs at depths between 12 and 30 meters.
Color: Reddish and yellow.
Dimensions: Up to 12 centimeters.
Geographical Distribution: Indian Ocean Western Pacific
