Common Name: Bridle cardinalfish
Description: Fish with large eyes, separated dorsal fins and two anal spines. The scales are ctenoids. The head and body are usually light salmon, ranging from pink to gold. It's dark on the dorsum and silvery on the venter. It has two small dark bars radiating from each eye, one below and one behind. It has no speck at the base of the tail fin. There is no black mark below the rear base of the dorsal fin. It feeds at night on many small organisms, including plankton.
Habitat: Associated with reefs. More common in beds of algae. It occurs at depths up to 75 meters.
Color: Light salmon.
Dimensions: Up to 6.5 centimeters in total lenght.
Geographical Distribution: Western Atlantic
