Common Name: Yellowstriped Cardinalfish
Description: This fish can be recognized by the width of the orange bands on the body. At the top of the body these bands are narrower than the gray spaces between them. The bands become wider in the ventral part, with the same width than the inter-spaces. They feed on planktonic crustaceans that live near the substrate.
Habitat: Inshore reefs, reef lagoons, reef faces and frontal reef slopes, at depths between 1 and 49 meters.
Color: Orange and gray.
Dimensions: Up to 8 centimeters.
Geographical Distribution: Indo-West Pacific
