Common Name: Blackstripe Cardinalfish
Description: Apparently there are two basic forms of color. One is white among the five wide black bands, while the other has yellow inter-spaces. The fins usually have a pink tint. It feeds on shrimps and polychaetes.
Habitat: Inshore reefs, rocky estuaries, reef faces, frontal reef slopes and reef lagoons. It occurs at depths between 3 and 50 meters.
Color: Black and white or black and yellow.
Dimensions: Up to 9 centimeters.
Geographical Distribution: Indian Ocean Red Sea Indo-Pacific
