Common Name: Indian Yellowtail Angelfish, Smoke Angelfish, Xanthurus Angelfish
Description: Light gray or light brown body with black spots on the larger scales of the dorsal area, resulting in a darker color on the upper sides. The belly is pearl-white. The head is dark brown and the snout is clearer. It has a small yellow spot above the operculum. The tail fin is yellow, the dorsal and anal fins are dark brown to black colored with white margins. The region adjacent to the caudal peduncle is black.
Habitat: Coral and rocky reefs at depths between 5 and 30 meters.
Color: Light gray or light brown.
Dimensions: Up to 15 centimeters.
