Common Name: Stripe eel
Description: The head is dotted with light brown. The upper body has a bluish black band. The underside of the tail (behind the anus) is cream colored with dark spots on the sides. The venter is dark, and it's bounded above by a whitish band. The dorsal fin is longer, starting at the top of the head, well before the opercular opening. The head is small and pointed. The mouth is small with fragile mandibles. The body is lean with no pectoral fins.
Habitat: Found over sandy bottoms in shallow and clear waters.
Dimensions: Up to 46 centimeters in lenght.
