Common Name: Lugworm
Description: Cylindrical body, dilatated on the anterior part. Trilobated prostomium. Nineteen setigerums: six in the anterior part and thirteen at the abdominal part. Caudal region without silks.
Habitat: Mediumlittoral. It lives in tubes with a U form, digged in the sand (more or less slimy); one of the tube´s orifices is round and visible, being the other covered by dejections.
Color: Variable colour; red gills.
Dimensions: It reaches 20 cm in length.
