Common Name: Striated argentine
Description: Silver fish with small mouth and very big eyes. The dorsal fin originates at a point above the rear end of the pectoral fin. The swim-bladder is not silver as in A. silus .
Habitat: Bathypelagic inhabiting soft bottoms, at depths between 100 and 600 meters.
Color: Silver.
Dimensions: Up to 24 centimeters in lenght.
Geographical Distribution: Western Atlantic
